Games like Suika
Updated October 2026
Suika Game is about as simple as a puzzle gets. Drop a fruit, two of the same fruit merge into a bigger one, and try to make a watermelon before the box overflows. It's also very hard to put down. If you've made a few watermelons and want something that scratches the same itch, here's where to look next. Some of these are close cousins, some take the idea somewhere strange, and a few are squishy.
The originals
Suika Game
The one that started the craze outside Japan. It's now on Switch, iPhone, Android, PS5 and Steam. If you've only played a browser clone, the real thing is worth the few dollars: the physics and the sense of weight are better than in most copies.
Suika Game Planet
The official sequel drops fruit toward a planet instead of into a box, so everything piles up around a center. It's a small change that makes your old habits useless, which is the fun of it. On Switch 2 it has local co-op for up to four players.
Same idea, new twist
Fruit Mountain
Suika in 3D. You stack fruit on a plate, and if one falls off, the game is over. The sequel, Fruit Mountain Party, adds online versus for four players.
Sputnika Game
Planets instead of fruit, pulled inward by "cosmic gravity." It's moody and spacey, and it really does play differently.
Suika Shapes
Geometric shapes instead of fruit, with online co-op and versus. There's a free browser version on itch.io if you want to try it first.
PuzzMiX
A Suika-style game themed on the Gunvolt series, with voiced callouts and a J-pop soundtrack. It's a lot, in a good way.
Suika meets roguelike
Dogpile
You merge dogs, dropped from above as in Suika, inside a roguelike deckbuilder. If Suika started to feel solved, this one adds decisions between drops.
Steve's Warehouse
Suika plus a deckbuilder with boss fights. It has a demo on Steam, and players love it.
The squishy ones
In these, the pieces aren't hard fruit; they're soft bodies that squash, stretch and wobble. It changes the game more than you'd think, because pieces squeeze into gaps that a rigid ball would never fit. If that's your favorite part, there are more in our list of soft-body physics games.
Bloopies
A soft-body slime take on Suika, with 12 levels.
Jelly Merge
A free browser game with a soft-body Suika mode.
Jellygon ours
Wobbly jelly polygons that squish together and become the next shape up: triangle to square, square to pentagon, and on up. When the cup gets crowded, you can shake it.
Float Away ours
Suika upside down. You let go of soft foil balloons, and they float up into the pile. Two matching balloons merge into the next one, from 0 to 9, or from Star to Unicorn in the party set. Two 9s pop.
Free in your browser
If you just want to play right now:
- Watermelon Drop on Poki: a faithful fruit-drop game.
- Suika Shapes on itch.io: free, with shapes.
- Jelly Merge on itch.io: soft-body.
- Float Away: upside down, with squishy balloons.
Prefer numbers to fruit? Jelly48 is a squishy take on 2048, and there are more number puzzles in our list of games like 2048.
Questions
Is Suika Game on iPhone and Android?

What was Suika Game based on?
A Chinese web game called Merge Big Watermelon (合成大西瓜), which went viral in early 2021.
Are there free games like Suika?
Yes. Bloopies, Jelly Merge, Watermelon Drop, Jellygon and Float Away are free, and Suika Shapes has a free browser version. Dogpile is free to try on mobile.
What's the hardest Suika-like?
